Candy Bar Dilations

My Geometry students have been working on a project while we were studying proportions and scale factors.  They took their favorite candy bar and basically 'blew it up' while preserving the proportions.  The students did so fantastic on these projects and now my room has giant candy bars hanging from the ceiling.  Here some pictures for you to enjoy.

Geometric Quilts

This is a PodCast of a teacher that did this activity in her classroom.  She shows students working on their Geometric Quilts and she also shows some mistakes that her students made.  Watch this podcast and hopefully it will keep you from making the same mistakes.

MS 113 textbooks

MS 113 students:
Here is the ISBN for the textbook we will be using this semester in Trig. You can look it up on any textbook website, the JSU bookstore, or if you have a friend that might have the book. We are using the 10th edition Analytic Trigonometry. ISBN: 10th. ed. 978-0470-28076-8. Let me know if you have any problems. We will begin the first day back so I suggest you get this as soon as possible to avoid getting behind.
