  1. Hey Ms. Cotney it's Kristen, I had a question about #16 on our homework. What am I supposed to do if it is like [(4)(2)+2]? But the actual problem is 12-[(4)(2)+2], I don't know if I am supposed to divide the (4) and (2) or multiply?

  2. Oh, opps it was actually #23. But it's the same thing I am having a problem with...

  3. Using the order of operations. You work inside the brackets first, then inside the brackets you also follow the order of operations (PEMDAS) so multiplication then addition and then work from there. Let me know if you have more trouble. Hope it helps!

  5. You take the hours of whatever activity you have chosen and take that fraction of 1560 hours. So basically you put those hours over 1560 and reduce and then find the decimal and percent.

  6. Hey Ms.Cotney this is zainab.I am working on my summer vacation project. Can we use the computer to type our paragraph, table, and ect.

  7. Yes that's perfectly fine. Make sure that your hours add up to 1560!

  8. Thanks! Plus, how does 536/1560 (this is for sleep) equal to 1/3? I got 67/195 which is about 34%. 1560/3 = 520 so 520/1560 would be 1/3.

  9. That was just an example on that direction sheet. You need to make sure sleep is, in fact, one third of the total hours.

  10. I did sleep for the number of hours on the sheet. I already made the two graphs using 536 hours as my value. Should I change that?

  11. Well if it's 34% then that's ok I suppose since it was misunderstood on the directions.

  12. Hey Ms.Cotney,im having trouble with my project all my hours total up to 1680.

  13. Well they should not add to be more than 1560 hours. Just take some hours off somewhere.

  14. Hey Ms.Cotney:)this is Jasmine,im having trouble with my Geometry homework:(

  15. What exactly are you having trouble with? Remember on the first ones, you find the distance by using the absolute value like example 1 in that section. On some of the others you will use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the missing side and on the others you use what "between" means to solve the problems. Give me a specific example if this doesn't help.
