I think you mean the second one (n+2)/n = 23/5. Anytime you have two fractions set equal to one another you can cross multiply and solve. Hope it helps!

Hey! For the Summer vacation project, the fraction 1/3 doesnt seem to match up with the hours of sleep. 1/3 of the 1560 hours of summer would be 520. I was wondering if we should use the 520 hours of sleep or stay with the 536 hours of sleep
No the 536 that was on the chart was basically an example of the the way the activity chart should look. That does not mean that 536 is necessarily 1/3 of 1560.

Ok basically you have to find at least 7 activities and hours wise they must equal 1560. Sleep must be 1/3 of of 1560 hours. Once you decide on the hours you spent doing each activity then you find the fraction of 1560 hours that activity is, then put those in decimal and percentage forms also.
In Algebra two, on the back of our worksheet, we have simplifying. I'm not really understanding it, and I'm not sure if we have gone over it or not? Do we need to have those done too?
In Algebra 1 #15-25 odds.How do you write the question that could be used to solve the equation?How do you do it again.Would it be like #15 is says x+4=7,would i write it like 3+4=7?
You remember when I asked you all in class those questions and you had to use mental math to figure it out. I would say "What number plus 5 is 7?" and you guys would say 2. Does this help?

ReplyDeleteYes just make sure that if you use 50 then you use 50 everywhere, when adding the total hours, in the fraction, decimal, and percent.
